About the Show

The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime for Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends.

Alex Bailey
What’re you doing?! Stop the world and get on cause life’s a roller coaster of chaos. Have fun with it. Keep it light, keep it bright, keep it gay! I have experience in the audio visual world helping with other parts of shows done by both the Ziegfeld Theater and the Egyptian Theater for a couple of years now, but this is my first ever show performing. I’m very excited to share this new experience with everyone I love and care about.
Casey Bond
Casey is excited to take part in his first Ziegfeld musical! He played Cosmo Brown in Weber High's 2015 production of Singin' in the Rain. Some of his other favorite musicals to perform in were The Addams Family at Weber High in 2015 and The Secret Garden with Ogden Musical Theatre in 2023.
Andy Conlin
What a treat to put on such a deeply profound and moving theatrical work! I only hope I have the gravitas this piece deserves. You may have seen me in: Into The Woods (Baker), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Armand), Little Women (Laurie), The Drowsy Chaperone (Robert Martin), Forever Plaid (Jinx), Les Misérables (Big Red Flag Waver), 42nd Street, and Singin' In the Rain. Jacob Eich
Jacob is thrilled to return to the Ziegfeld stage in The Producers! Recent roles include Lumière in Beauty and the Beast (ASL), Mendel in Fiddler on the Roof, a Caroler in A Christmas Carol at HCTO, and Lord Fancourt Babberly in Charley's Aunt. Jacob is grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing production and thanks his friends, family, and the cast for their support. He also wants to thank ChatGPT for writing this bio.
Ryan Gorsline
Sporting lederhosen and a pigeon entourage, Ryan is excited to return to the Ziegfeld stage in one of his all time favorite comedic roles in theater as Franz Liebkind. Other Credits include: Thenardier in Les Miserables, Trunchbull in Matilda, Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, and most recently, Jonas Fogg/Ensemble in Sweeney Todd.
Cameron Kapetanov
Ten years ago I was performing this very show when a beautiful woman, who was helping backstage, asked me out on a date. We'll be married ten years this August. Love you, Lindsay.
Paul Kipping
Paul is a self confessed Mel Brooks fanboy and cannot believe his luck to be cast in The Producers. When not on stage, he can be found singing High Anxiety and other poorly known songs with his family around the Bluffdale area.
Megan Mariano
Megan is excited for her debut on the Ziegfeld stage in "The Producers"! She loves performing around her local theatre community and you can find her in productions all over the Wasatch Front. She was last seen in Ogden Musical Theatre's "Aida" as Ensemble and had the opportunity to perform in some of her favorite roles like "Esmeralda" in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, "Ursula" in The Little Mermaid, "Mercy" in The Refugee Women and more. Megan strives for ongoing education in all aspects of theatre and will make a career out of it in the future! She is grateful for all of her friends and family that support her dreams. Troy Martell
Troy is excited to return to The Zig, where he has performed in productions such as RENT, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Kinky Boots, and Young Frankenstein. Offstage, Troy has had fun as a stage manager and projection designer, contributing to the magic of many shows. He’s fueled by the love and antics of his cats (Casper, Loaf, Rye, and Cheez-it), his loyal pup Archie, and his wonderful partner Josh, who keeps him grounded through all his theatrical escapades.
Ash McKnight
Ash is very excited to be performing another show here at the Zig! You may have seen them previously here in the ensemble of Sweeney Todd, as the ASL performer for Maurice in Beauty and the Beast, or dancing in the ensemble of many others. Hope you all enjoy this show as much as Ash does!
Devin Mich'l
Devyn is very excited to be apart of The Producers at the Ziegfeld. Devyn has been in shows at the Zig including Grease, as Rizzo, Urinetown as Penelope Pennywise, and many more. She is excited to play Usherette and have a part in the ensemble for The Producers!
Logan Nelson
Logan Nelson is a life-long fan of film and theatre, and hopes to make his own short films in the near future. This is his third show at the Ziegfeld, and his second time performing in The Producers.
Eleanor J. Parks
Eleanor J. Parks is thrilled to be in her first Ziegfeld theatre production! She recently received a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Miami. Past roles include Ensemble/Silk Aerialist in Aida, Fritzie in Cabaret, Heather McNamara in Heathers, and Gussie Carnegie in Merrily We Roll Along. Madeleine Rodriguez
Madeleine graduated from Augustana College in 2022 with a B.A. in Vocal Performance and Business Administration. She has been in shows previously like 9 to 5 (Judy), Into the Woods (Cinderella), The Lightning Thief (Silena Beauregard), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Florika), and Beauty and the Beast (Babette). Madeleine wants to thank her loving family and friends for being endlessly supportive, with a special shout out to her partner Taylor for doing shows with her. But most important of all, she wants to dedicate all of her performances to her stepmom Kelly, who she misses and loves very much.
Alexa Thomas
Alexa is thrilled to make her debut at the Ziegfeld Theater! Having just moved from Memphis, TN and doing a show she loves, she could not be more grateful to the creative team for this opportunity. She has a BA in Music Education from University of Memphis and is grateful for all of the roles that led to this show. Some favorites include; Mrs. White (Clue:Onstage), Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), and Shelby Eatonton (Steel Magnolias). Matthew Thomas
This is Matthew's second show with the Zig. He is incredibly excited to not only work with familiar faces in the cast and crew, but to work on a show that has been on radar for a long time. You may remember Matt from his Ziegfeld Theater debut in Beauty and the Beast in ASL as the Baker. Matt wants to thank his friends, family, and his wonderful partner, Nat, for supporting him.
Taylor Wayman
Hi, I'm Taylor! I'm a local actor from northern Utah, previously seen as Lefou in The Beauty and The Beast. I've had so much fun with The Producers, and I'm very excited to share this hilarious show with the community. I would like to thank my awesome mom, grandpa, aunt, and siblings for their support. I would also like to thank my amazing partner, and best friend Madeleine. Really, she's just incredible, and I love her a lot.
Matthew Williamson
Matthew Williamson is honored for the opportunity for his first production with Ziegfeld Theater and the Egyptian Theatre. After playing such roles as Sir Lionel in Camelot, and an ensemble role in Sweeney Todd, Matthew thanks his family for their support and encouragement.
