We are seeking a diverse group of strong singers, actors, and dancers of all races, gender identities, shapes, and sizes.
"An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher."
This is a TOURING SHOW that will perform at the Ziegfeld Theater in Ogden and at the Egyptian Theater in Park City.
PAID SHOW: Actors will receive a stipend of *$300, 4 complimentary tickets to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for friends and family, two season tickets to the Ziegfeld Theater, good for one year, and a $300 gift card to the Egyptian Theater. (*if double cast, the stipend will be split between the two actors)
AUDITIONS: Video submissions are due no later than Sunday, January 5th at 11:59 pm. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. (songs from the show are allowed/ encouraged)
*CALLBACKS: will be held January 7th and 8th from 6- 10 pm (*callbacks by invitation only.)
REHEARSAL DATES: Rehearsals will begin January 11th, and typically take place Monday- Thursday evenings, 7- 10 pm and Saturday mornings, 10- 2 pm. There will be a mandatory cue to cue rehearsal on March 8th from 10- 6 pm. Rehearsal times will extend to 6:00 pm- Midnight during the tech week for Ogden (3/10- 10/13) and 6:30 pm- Midnight during the tech week for Park City (3/30- 4/1)
